VOTE! MOFIB PHOTO CONTEST for David Lass's Article - 2008

You are limited to one vote per user, so be sure to select your ABSOLUTE favorite. Remember, the top 8 photos will be submitted to FAMA for potential inclusion with an article on Marine Breeding & MOFIB. The members who submitted the top 8 will need to get their final files and info turned in by Sunday night! If less than 8 images receive votes, I'll figure something out...might just be me picking the extras needed. In the event of a tie (i.e. we have 14 images in "3rd place") we'll send them all for consideration.

Just a reminder that we had a limit of 3 max per MOFIB member (to hopefully prevent one user from dominating the competition). In those cases where more than 3 images were submitted, as mentioned prior, I selected what I felt were the best three for consideration here.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, in talking with David Lass and again reviewing the article before it's submitted, I may have to submit one of my own images with the article. A large portion of the article deals with Mandarins - since no one submitted any mandarin breeding / spawning / mating / egg / larvae photos, if we don't provide some, FAMA might go to a 3rd party for a mandarin photo instead. That's a missed opportunity for MOFIB.

So, if I'm asked to submit a mandarin photo and it's utilized, all the procedes will be going to MOFIB and I'll be considering the image with the highest votes that didn't get published as an additional winner of the MOFIB Gear. I assume that's acceptable to everyone - just the realities of needing images that go with the article and doing right by MOFIB and everyone who contributed!!! I really don't want to see my own images in print, I want to see all of YOURS!!!

I think your fire clown picture is fantastic. It shows a lot of motion and the muted pastels are beautiful. It was a very tough competititon with some really great photos.

What great pics! The water is so clean and clear in the tank. What kind of pumps/filters do you use? Does anyone use or have you heard of s? I have a large, outdoor pond/pool for breeding and the water is cloudy/murky and I don't know if the water needs more oxygen.
