Hello,
at time a have new larvae and today new eggs .
the second try are a lot better then the first, i think they are over 50 baby filefishes. with the Larvatank i make some test of the Size and all this thinks, if i have more informations i will write over this :).

i make a short film you can look here.

i take the Pictures with a Panasonic DMC FZ 20 and a Rynox Macrokonverter

now they eating live Artemia, frozen Artemia and frozen small Mysis and on sunday i give them Lobstereggs and aiptasia :lol:

Der Geschlechtsunterschied ist bei dieser Art nicht nur an den Borsten an der Schwanzwurzel (Männchen) sondern auch an der analen zu erkennen.
Die Weibchen sind dort langgezogen die Männer haben eine Wölbung nach innen bei kleineren Tieren kann man die Borsten sehr schlecht erkennen.
Das Weibchen lebte schon 1 Jahr bei uns da Sie plötzlich einige Korallen zum fressen gerne hatte habe ich sie zu den Seepferden ins Aquarium gegeben dies ist durchaus sehr praktisch da dort nie Probleme mit Glasrosen auftreten ;) zwischen den Algen fühlte sich das Tier sichtbar wohler. Da die Pferde alles Paare waren, entschlossen wir uns der Feilenfrau einen Mann zu gönnen. Als das Männchen eingesetzt wurde kam es zu keinerlei Übergriffe. Bereits 2 Wochen später sah ich das das Weibchen immer runder wurde. Das erste Gelege entdeckte ich dann im Sandboden entgegen der Literaturangaben wurde es vom Weibchen bewacht, ich entnahm wenige Eier und legte sie unters Mikroskop wenige wurden separiert und versucht zum Schlupf zu bringen. Die Eier entwickelten sich nicht weiter waren demnach nicht befruchtet, bereits beim nächsten Wurf (diesmal an einem Riffpfeiler zwischen feinen Fadenalgen) hat die Dame wohl festgestellt das der Mann zur Vermehrung zwingend erforderlich ist und siehe da die Eier waren befruchtet. Der Schlupf erfolgt in der 2-3 Nacht nach der Eiablage. Für das Larvenlexi habe ich dann versucht so viel Bilder wie möglich zu machen und siehe da die erste Aufzucht ist geglückt ich persönlich empfinde sie nicht als sonderlich "schwer" Als erste Nahrung gab es kleine Brachionus (C5) und Copepoden, als folge Nahrung Brachionus plicatillis und ab dem 10 Tag Artemiennauplien.

Hallo Matt, klasse das du es auch versuchen möchtest! Der Nachwuchs hat nun in dem Aufzuchtsbecken 200x80x60 alle Glasrosen nieder gemacht auch die großen sind verschwunden man muss nur aufpassen wenn man E.quadricolor pflegt die kanbbern sie auch an ;)
