Banggai trio

Banggai trio

Postby rsisvixen » Fri Oct 16, 2015 11:43 pm

I have a trio of Banggai, of which I have 1 female and 2 males.

The bigger 2 paired up right away with the smaller male being chased off.
Once in the display tank, the pair would hang out on one side while the single male stayed on the other end, if either of the pair spotted him they would chase him about.
2 weeks after being added to the DT the pair spawned, male only held for 5 days.
Just this week they spawned again, the male is now holding eggs and hiding. But interestingly enough the female has now gone to hang out with the other male, they swim together and eat together even though just a couple of days ago she would have chased him about.
Anyone else have similar behavior in a group of Banggais?

Yes,it has been reported.Actually females are ready to spawn again much sooner than the incubation/brooding time.
