they wont spawn

they wont spawn

Postby db7080 » Tue May 27, 2014 11:59 pm

i have had a male for 5 years(i know its male from venting method) so i recently bought a female. the female was with a male when i bought her and the male she was with was holding her eggs. now they have been together for about three months with no signs of spawning. i have never seen them do the shaking/vibrating thing. they are both large and the same exact size. anything i can do to get them "in the mood"?

thanks in advanced

Hi, I know this is a bit late, but can you detail what else might be a problem? What are you feeding them? What are your "privacy spaces" (the places where they can hide)? Alternatively, maybe the male is too old or sterile?

How did that go db7080? I've read the Banggai Cardinal is now an endangered specie, so it would be great news if your cardinals ended up replicating themselves! :?
