Where to start

I've been in the reefing hobby for a while now and I'm gaining interest in breeding. I've read threw a few of the threads here and I get lost in all the abbreviations and technical wording. Is there a guide to the abbreviations?

My main needs before I even think about moving forward would be with establishing and maintaining a food source. Is there a section on this within the site?
