yes, haven't picked any up yet but system is cycling at the moment so didn't see the rush for now. I added frozen food week ago and have also been adding Bac. to help with cycle

OK every one been buzy getting water change system complete, the way I design my systems is two equal size chambers with one being for mixing salt and the other being flow threw. The flow threw side can be shut off from system without anyone knowing whats going on and then be pumped down and new mixxed water pumped back in doing 12% water change without shutting any of the main pumps off.

and here's picture with all plumbing complete and running

I've also have skimmer running now and have filter socks for the moment to polish water after adding sudstraight to the brood stock tanks

cycling has been going well also, I've been dosing Zeo Bac., Zeostart3 and zeofood7 to give a kick start. Ammonia and nitrite are reading 0 today, I had an ammonia spike but never really had a nitrite spike which I feel is due to daily bac. dosing

LEds turned out well, I didn't get crazy with Fancy fixture design as I would have for a display system just a basic frame setup here. I went with 4.30 x 8" heatsinks with four 3watt blues and two 3watt cool whites here's some pictures of build
heatsinks

heatsinks with emitters install

frames complete with wiring

test run in the shop and tuning the drivers, I used two MeanWell ELN-60-48D drivers per 24 emitters in parell stings with fuses and ristors with drivers set @ 1350ma

and finally lights over tank

we're also up to six pairs now , with alot of activety from two sets so we might be getting close
our first new pair are SA black ice

second new pair are SA extreme snowflakes

they are still camera shy so haven't been able to get any good pic's of them yet

well sorry but this site no longer allows me attach photos in img form from photobucket anymore so just have use your imagenation

Guerry,

Where are you getting your plexi from? Are you cutting it yourself on a tablesaw? I've been building a few things but the place I get it from (Tap Plastics) is fairly expensive.

Thanks!

Well everyone the fun has begun, one pair has started to lay. We are on our second clutch now and hope to catch the lavae this go round, the first hatch started on day 8 with only a few then on day nine the rest. I tried to catch them but think my lavae catcher skills need a little work, I think I may have turned the led on to soon not sure. This cluch is larger than the first, but this pair has no interest in their pot they are laying their eggs in the corner of tank making it impossiable to pull pot

They will lay in the same place and you can remove the glass sheet with the nest.
