hi all
This is a fantastic thread, full very useful advice
i'm in the proses of designing a fish room and the cost dose build up very quickly!!

They cost more up front, but only use ~1.5watts per foot, rather than the 8ish watts/foot of flourescent tubes. They should cut down on the monthly electric bill. Lighting has always been one of my biggest electrical users.

i was thinking this is a great way to save electricity and was wondering how you got on with it?

Where something I designed called the Bluetooth Walrus and its little brother the Bluetooth Seal Pup are discussed. These devices 're-manufacture' salt water to be used for growing algae. Add some additional goodies and you could clean it for fish or coral.
