I'm 90% sure its supposed to be refrigerated. When I ordered it, they shipped it with an ice pack in a Styrofoam box. Mine is Selco though, not sure if selcon is different.

I could be wrong but I believe Selcon is made by Amercian Marine. Selco is usually an Inve product sometimes repackaged. Selco is designed to be refrigerated. Selcon I have seen sitting on store shelfs unrefrigerated. Emulsions such as these are very convenient but the fatty acids breakdown quickly in emulsions. When I talked with Inve, they recommend the product be used within 30 days after opening.

I would refrigerate it after opening. It goes rancid pretty quickly, which is why I don't purchase it anymore.
