Green Water for Peppermint larvae

Postby solonavi » Wed Aug 10, 2011 11:34 am

Hi Guys,

Can I check if there is any benefit in keep the peppermint larvae in a Green Water with Nannochloropsus? Beside providing as nutrition to the NHBBS, does the larvae consume them?

Also when has anyone managed to raise them to settle using only NHBBS or BBS?

Regards
JC

April Kirkendoll found that an acceptable first food was finely ground flake. Her book on shrimp is a good read if you haven't already.

Thanks. Shall stick with NBBS.

Didn't want to use flakes as feed for them as worried about water quality until we setup our centralised system.

That's a good reason for staying with live food.
