So did you cut off a bowl´s wall and drilled a hole for the airstone?
Yes,your kreisel could work.Check the many references in the forums.

It started life as a shallow dish/bowl thing I found in the vase ailse of a cheap chinese shop.
I drilled a large hole on one edge, then I siliconed a piece of glass to the top then drilled a small hole for the airline in one side.

Winter is approaching and sub zero temps are just around the corner so I wanted something I could submerge in the sump of my reef tank. Would hopefully prevent me having to heat a seperate system (electricity in Australia is stupidly expensive.. even with the discount I get for working for a power company lol)

Well I just collected another batch of larvae last night so I'll give the kriesel a go and see how it works out. Then I'll work on building an upweller!
