source for shells

i bought a bag of crushed coral called "Caribbean puka shell" and sifted through a portion of it. i came out with several kinds and sizes of shells that should work for hermits.

after some confusion when i was looking at the picture, i realized my ruler only shows inches. grrrr.

if i find an alternative ruler, ill post a new picture.

I don´t get the inch system,why are two different sets of subdivisions made?.
Time you dump it and join the rest of the world... :roll:

Ya know, I don't remember at all where I heard this, but someone was talking about making shelles for hermit settlement out of concrete (aragrocrete)????

i found the other ruler this morning, it was in the freezer.. i cant figure out why i would put my ruler in the freezer... iv been searching for it for about a week now. anyways, future pics will have English and metric system.

i don't really know how to go about doing this, maybe with a pasta maker? but i suspect the internal part of the shell would be important and most difficult to make using concrete.
