What is the size?
Where is it from?
Any other information would help.
I know a few that would fit the picture. There are others on site that could be of greater help. Hopefully they will chine in with their expertise!

its about 3" tip of tentacle to tentacle . i got him from sea dwelling creatures . on the invoice it said pacific brown octopus sp.
i dont see any eye spots on the mantle . in color it seems to range from black to red with brown bars. hes taking ghost shrimp and crabs . to my surprise he snapped a ghost shrimp up 5 minutes after i introduced him to the tank and then retired to a hole in a rock and hasnt re emerged yet . ive got him at 72 F . 12 and 12 lighting cycle. thank you for the reply im in need of info , this is my first octopus . i have a little experience with cuttlefish but im a complete newb to octopus.
