Spawning Gray Triggerfish

Spawning Gray Triggerfish

Postby AssessmentGuy84 » Tue Mar 04, 2014 5:40 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am a contractor for NOAA Fisheries in Panama City, FL and I work on fisheries reproduction. Currently, it would be extremely beneficial to quantify the duration of Post-Ovulatory Follicle Complexes for gray triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) to gain a more concrete estimation of spawning frequency of wild populations.

I was wondering if anyone here had gray triggers spawning in tanks that could take a non-lethal sampling of the ovary on specific time lapses after a spawn?

Thanks for your time,
