Good luck. I've been thinking about mixing these guys myself to see what would happen. Keep us posted. :)

I have two BSJ and four pearlies in the same tank. One of the BSJs lives off to one side but the other BSJ lives right in the middle of the pearlies. It's a big tank, though.

Umm, 480ish, but five of the six live within one square foot of each other.

My blues do not share a hole. They used to be halfway across the tank from each other, but now the male's moved over to about 8" from the female.

Andy my old spawning pair (RIP) only shared a hole to spawn. He never let her hang around long. So this could be good news for you! She stayed close by but hidden (watch my videos again and you'll see what I mean ). She seemed to want to be near him. But he seemed to only have one use for her...........men.......haha !!!!

They have been doing a lot of switching holes lately and closing up early (singly?, in pairs?) recently, so I think something's going on. If they did spawn, the male must have eaten it right away, though. I've never seen video of bluespots staying this close and in full view of each other.

Looks like my yellowhead swallowed his first spawn, too. :(

And, dang it, one of the Banggais held for a _long_ time and swallowed at the last minute. :(
