Gathering Information

Gathering Information

Postby sihaya » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:33 pm

It seems like more and more people are becoming interested in the possibilities of captive coral breeding. So I thought I'd put together these charts with some information on coral sexual reproduction (captive and in general). I gathered what I could from several forums, articles, journals, etc:

http://www.asira.org/breedchart1.htm

Unfortunately, it's still not quite full. If anyone could help me find more of this information, I'd be forever grateful.

Thank you,
Sara

I also put this one together for errant inverts:

Anyone- please do let me know if you think there's anything missing (or incorrect) in either of these.

Thank you.

Oh oops, sorry, that third column entry is a missprint. It should read "Some aquarists have been able to raise the larvae through a few stages of development, but have been unable to see them settle."
(source: http://www.reefs.org/library/talklog/20050219.html)

Granted, she said it was by accident, but it still counts...

Sorry for the mistake. It's corrected now.

Thanks,
Sara
