Gold Stripe Maroon Clown Pair

Gold Stripe Maroon Clown Pair

Postby bluereefboy » Fri Jan 09, 2009 8:44 pm

About 3 months ago I purchased two Gold Stripe Maroon clowns. Female large 5 inches... The other small about 1.5" The couple got along great for 3 months sharing their anemone nudging each other, etc. The other day I looked in the tank, didn't see the small one and found him hiding in the corner half eaten.

They seemed to be paired nicely. Is this normal? If the smaller survives would they pair up again? Not sure if he will make it or not.

If I try to re-pair her with another mate what is the best approach?

Tks
