maroon clowns spawning

maroon clowns spawning

Postby emax » Mon Jun 09, 2008 10:48 pm

I have a pair of maroon clowns, the male does his dance next to the female but I haven't seen any eggs. How do I get her to lay her eggs on the tile? She may be laying them behind the rocks in the back. Do I need to move the rocks so I can see behind or just leave everything alone? I have read Joyce Wilkerson's book.

Thanks for any help.

First, you will want to place a tile in the tank. They may not use it but they can't use it if it is not in the tank. Second, watch what the male does. If they are laying eggs the male will tend the nest, so follow the male to the nest. If they are laying eggs on a rock, all you can do is place the tile in front of the rock and hope they use it. They are going to do what they want to do. All you can do is make suggestions. Good luck.
