How long does it take for the maroon to mature?
I have been raising a pair for almoast a year now, they are in my large reef tank with other non aggresive fish.
They have a beautiful bubble anemone to live in and are very happy.
The female is about 3.5 inches now and the male about 2.5.
I had a bigger female and male before but lost them wile I was in Algeria,
I never could figure out how it happend. These 2 have been showing signs of sponning ritual but have not sponed yet.
What is the best light to use on a breeding tank?

My maroon's took two years to spawn. I have also moved them twice since they started spawning and they would not spawn for six at least months after being moved.

mine were 6 before they ever spawned. I would start feeding them frequently and with food soaked in selcon. as for a light. Something that will support that anemone. I have halides t5s and a moonlight at night though i'm sure it can be much less. good luck
