Burgess Atlas aka my wish book  Melas are cute but I like crossi and nigroris better. I have not seen melas here but nigroris are really common here. This crossi is by far the prettiest though.

Well done Luis !
This little fish looks like a princess with those neon stripes.
Is Neoglyphidodon gonochoristic ?

Congratulations, Luis! What a way to start of the genus, and some lovely photos, too!

Luis you are the only person on MOFIB that brings a tear to my eye when I think about how much you have done. And also when I think about how long you have worked with damsels. It is nice to see everyone posting on here. You deserve more praise.

Hey Luis, congrats. You are the MAN. You must love this little buggers, hey? Very impressing your results.

But I don´t understand your statement. Plenty of damsels are nice at juvis, but later? Frying? Down the drain?

For how long will they have the juvi colouration?

Cheers

Thanks to all :D
Anderson,I think most damsels are gonochorist.Dascyllus and some other are considered protogynous hermaphrodites.

Damsels are difficult to raise, and I could not raise more than 1-3 per run. :(
This is what I call "marginal success".The same happens to many breeders working with difficult to raise species.
But now I am improving,I could raise 12 beautiful juvs this time: 8)

Hey Luis! My C parasema are breeding, probably hatch out tonight. I am working away from home until spring though, so I won't get a chance to work with them until summer. I see this thread is from 2010 though, and it took you quite some time to learn to raise a dozen from a batch! Congratulations on your success!
Given sufficient thrust, pigs will fly just fine.
