what equipment is needed

hi all,
what equipment is needed in order to raise shrimp? reason i ask is because my cleaners are carrying and iv done a bit of research but havent been able to find much on actual techniques and equipment used but rather just progress on the shrimps larval stages. i have how ever read that cleaners are difficult so i will not be trying them for now but rather the peppermint shrimp to begin with. i do not have any peppermint shrimp at the moment but will get some once i have done enough research and have all the necessary equipment and once i have enough phytoplankton and rotifers going.
maybe some of you have links that explain the equipment and techniques used???
thanks in advance
Chris

Start by running through the topics in this forum:

Might also look for the book "How to raise and train your peppermint shrimp" for help. Also try these articles:

Reefkeeping Magazine: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-10/nftt/
Advanced Aquarist: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2004/4/aafeature

As far as equipment, I used a 2.5 gallon aquarium and a sponge filter for the larvae. But I never got them to live longer than a month. I finally gave up and let the shrimp spawn and the tank get some extra food.
