I've never boosted the temp in my rots but I boosted the temperatures in my brine shrimp cultures (four
25g rubbermaid pails) and found that while they grew a heck of a lot faster, my overall yields of the brine show a heck of a large decline.
I'm assuming the higher temperatures meant bacteria problems became more significant, lowering the yields.
Now I just do everything at room temperature which is
68°F in winter and 72 to
74°F in summer with the A/C on.
For the rotifers I've never needed them to grow faster as they do extremely well by feeding them a blended mix of spirulina powder and Algamac 3050 powdere, blended for two minutes in water. I add to the culture sparingly 3 times a day when I am using them and once a day when I don't need the rots but just maintain them.
