I left a new rotifer culture for over a week waiting on it to clear. In the mean time, it now has these white flakes throughout it. When it finally cleared I thought I saw a few rotifers so o strained 90% and restarted it hoping it will catch. Does anyone know what the white flakes are? They look like flake food in the water. It was fed nano and roti rich. When I strained the culture, the white stuff formed a gel like coating ans didn't really seem to pass through a 53 micron screen. Can this be saved? Without a microscope, it is hard to diagnose .
Thanks,
Duke
