Larval Lighting

Postby smfarrell » Thu Feb 12, 2015 12:23 am

I've been having difficulty perfecting my fry tank lighting. Any suggestions. Here is what I have now. 1 pane of black acrylic(closest to the light) then a second pane (furthest way from the light, then white printer paper over the top to diffuse the light.

I find it hard to put light in the tank without showing the fry the source of the light.

What are others doing to provide indirect light?

Would using window tint on an acrylic lid work, or would they still travel towards the source.

I have tried a lot of different things, but what worked best for me was a shop light pointed up at the ceiling and about 6 feet away from the tank.
I'll be interested in hearing other people's ideas on this.
