Rots floating on top.

Postby midjim » Wed Jan 30, 2013 7:31 am

I have my first Orchid dotty back fry on the go at the moment. I have my rotifers in a drum and am using a half cut of soda bottle with the micron mesh siliconed in the middle. I scoop up the rots, about 6 scoops then lift it straight to the larval tank say no longer than .5 of a second. Then turn it upside down and wash them out into the babies. They seem to float on top so i mix them into the water am i doing it wrong. I have three nest on the go 1st nest one lone survivor 22 days, 2nd nest 15 days about 50 left, 3rd nest8 days about 100 left, fingers crossed I am new at these .

This happens when you screen them or handle them too rough.
