Filtration broodstock help!

Postby Frankyreef » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:20 am

Happy New Year!!!
All the best and a lot of babies for 2014!!!
I would like to have your advises for my future filtration...
I will have different strucures with 2x500L each + sump.
But I hesitate for the filtration system...
Previsouly, I used only protein skimmer and alive rocks (around 80kg for 1000L).

Can I have your experiences for your filtration?
Thank you very much per advance and all my best wihes again!
Franky!

There are different opinions. But for a non reef system,a simple way is floss pad, bioballs and skimmer. And UV wouldn't harm.

Thank very much Luis!
You are always here! (and fast!!!)
For alive rock, I usually put 1kg for 10L but for bioball, someone has an idea of the volume?
Thank you per advance!

Sure,we must take care of our community
I don't remember advised bioballs ratio, just get a full case and overdo it,if you have the room to place them.Check books if you need something more accurate
